We’ve all witnessed water abuse: broken sprinklers flooding a sidewalk, sprinklers spraying on rainy days, hoses left running. With the state of California in its third year of drought, and with imported supplies of water in decline, cities and water agencies need your help in eliminating water waste.

Most cities have provided a means of reporting water waste. If you live in a city other than those named below, call your city’s main telephone number or visit its website to learn how you may report instances of water waste you observe.

Before you call:
Be prepared to report the date and day of the week on which you observed the waste, the time of day, and the address or nearest intersection. Be sure to provide a detailed enough description to enable workers to locate the problem.
