Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve
The Bolsa Chica reserve is both home to and a stopover point for many species of endangered plants and animals. Saved from becoming a housing development in the 60s, the Ecological Reserve is now a protected home for nature.
Los Cerritos Wetlands
The Los Cerritos Wetlands are found on the edge of LA and Orange counties. Located close to the Pacific Ocean, high tide brings water up into (and filling) the marshlands. Wetlands are hotspots for wildlife and have high amounts of plant diversity.
